On May 16, the Russian House hosted an award ceremony for the winners and participants of two major educational campaigns — the “Total Dictation” and the “Victory Dictation”. The event brought together admirers and experts of the Russian language, literature, and history from different cities across Belgium.

On April 18, the Russian House held the “Total Dictation”, an international educational initiative aimed at promoting literacy and the Russian language. After several years of interruption, the campaign has now been held in Brussels for the second consecutive year and once again attracted great interest among participants. More information about the “Total Dictation” is available on the Russian House website:

Exactly one week later, on April 25, the “Victory Dictation” took place, dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. This year, the campaign was held at two venues and gathered participants of different ages. More information about the event:

The organizers deliberately chose a Saturday for the award ceremony, as the geography of participants has long extended beyond Brussels and its suburbs. Guests from Ghent, Liège, and other Belgian cities attended the event.
The results of the “Victory Dictation” were especially impressive: three participants achieved the maximum score of 22 points. In the “Total Dictation”, the best result was shown by Natalia Mikhina. Winners and participants received diplomas and commemorative gifts.
The organizers have already announced the next international educational campaign — the “Literary Dictation”, which will take place in autumn 2026. Everyone interested will once again have the opportunity to test their knowledge and join the community of Russian language and literature enthusiasts.
