Dear friends,
You are undoubtedly already familiar with the theater studio “Sadko.” Its director, Natalia Luponosova, also leads a similar studio at our Russian House.
On April 27 of this year, “Sadko” participated in the First International Youth Theater Festival “In Art, One Cannot Deceive…”, dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the birth of A.P. Chekhov, held in Lyon, France.
More than 15 Russian-speaking theater groups from France, Italy, Greece, Austria, and Belgium took part in the festival. The competition program included dramatic and musical-literary performances based on Chekhov’s works, a reading contest, and a children’s art exhibition.

“Sadko” presented a musical-literary composition titled “Who Is to Blame?” and won 2nd place in the theater competition (age category 7–17).
Maria Vergauwen also won 1st place in the young artists’ contest.

We congratulate the “Sadko” theater studio and its director Natalia Luponosova on these wonderful achievements and hope to see “Who Is to Blame?” performed on the stage of the Russian House.
