Culture, in its broadest sense, encompasses everything of value created by society—a “second nature” shaped by human hands. Engaging in artistic creativity, regardless of the medium, is also a contribution to the development of culture. Culture is formed through the assimilation of shared values, traditions, and social norms, influencing both society as a whole and every individual. This is why spiritual culture is often regarded as a measure of our humanity.

A nation’s history is the history of its people. In Russia, an understanding of this connection is nurtured from early childhood, and this children’s art exhibition is one example of that tradition.

The exhibition features outstanding works by students from Russian art schools. Through watercolor, gouache, graphic art, and other artistic techniques, these young artists convey their sincere and heartfelt vision of their homeland.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover a kaleidoscope of children’s emotions, impressions, and reflections on the meaning of home and homeland. Diverse in both genre and subject matter, it includes imaginative interpretations of national history, landscapes of native places, still lifes, and illustrations inspired by favourite books.
