“Nu, pogodi!” — a masterpiece that shaped generations — returns to the big screen! In celebration of the legendary Soyuzmultfilm studio’s anniversary, we invite you and your children to immerse yourselves in an atmosphere of carefree childhood and heartfelt laughter.

We will be showing the very first, iconic episodes that started the great chase between the Wolf and the Hare. This is a unique opportunity to see animation classics in excellent quality and in the company of fellow fans.

Did you know how this legendary cartoon was born?

In 1968–1969, Mikhail Valkov, director of the Soyuzmultfilm studio, asked young humor writers Aleksandr Kurlyandsky, Feliks Kamov, Arkady Khait, and Eduard Uspensky to come up with a funny cartoon script for children.

In 1969, Kurlyandsky and Khait developed the plot. They decided it had to be a chase film. Deciding who would chase whom, they went through various characters: first they considered a fox and a rooster, then a fox and a hare, and finally settled on a wolf and a hare as the most traditional characters in Russian folklore. These very first episodes, which laid the foundation for nationwide love, are exactly what we will see at our screening!
