On January 27 at 5:00 PM, the Russian House in Brussels invites you to an online viewing of the performance by the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Capella under the direction of People’s Artist of the USSR, Vladislav Chernushenko.

The Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Capella, conducted by People’s Artist of the USSR Vladislav Chernushenko, present a literary and musical composition dedicated to the Day of the Complete Lifting of the Siege of Leningrad. The program will feature songs about the Great Patriotic War, an excerpt from Shostakovich’s Seventh “Leningrad” Symphony, and poems by wartime poets. Anna Fomicheva will recite verses by Olga Bergholz, who truly became the “voice of besieged Leningrad.” The concert program includes songs set to music by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi, Nikita Bogoslovsky, Alexander Alexandrov, Yan Frenkel, Matvey Blanter, David Tukhmanov, and other composers.
