The Russian House in Brussels invites you to the festive evening “Russian Language Brings People Together”, dedicated to Russian Language Day, which will take place on June 5 at 7:30 PM.

Guests will enjoy a presentation of Russian language courses and a piano concert performed by special guest from Italy, pianist Bruno Francesco Leone.

Bruno Francesco Leone is a laureate and winner of more than 30 national and international music competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Saint Petersburg (Russia), the Grand Prize Virtuoso in Vienna (Austria), the “G. Campochiaro” Prize in Catania (Italy), the “San Francesco di Paola” Prize in Paola (Italy), the “Benedetto Albanese” Prize in Palermo (Italy), the Rocky Mountain International Music Competition in Toronto (Canada), and the Royal Sound Music Competition in Montreal (Canada).

The pianist will perform works by outstanding Russian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries:

  • Sergei Rachmaninoff — Georgian Song, op. 4 No. 4
  • Sergei Rachmaninoff — Vocalise, op. 34 No. 14
  • Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky — The Seasons: April, June, September and October
  • Mily Balakirev — Scherzo No. 1
  • Mikhail Glinka / Mily Balakirev — The Lark
