Belgian National Day
In honour of Belgian National Day, on July 10 the Russian House in Brussels invites all lovers of poetry, music, and theatre to an concert- evening with Vadim Piankov — a Russian and Belgian actor, poet, singer-songwriter, and performer.
Languages: Russian / French
Vadim Piankov will present his new program “My Belgian Odyssey”, featuring songs he has written over the years of living in Belgium. The evening’s repertoire includes original compositions set to the poetry of Paul Verlaine, Maurice Maeterlinck, Alexander Blok, Jean Borré, and others, as well as original songs inspired by the unique atmosphere of Belgian cities: “Boulevards of Brussels,” “Ostend Beaches,” “Brussels by Night,” “Nocturne,” and more.
A special part of the concert will be dedicated to interpretations of songs by Jacques Brel and Salvatore Adamo. The audience will also hear personal stories from the artist — about his journey, his first encounter with Belgium, and the inspiration this country has given him.
A CD signing session will follow the performance.
