On November 7, 2025, the Russian House in Brussels invites residents and guests of the Belgian capital to the festive evening “Musical Palette”, dedicated to National Unity Day.
The event will provide a unique opportunity to explore the richness of Russia’s cultural heritage, experience its diversity, and discover what unites the people of the country through music, history, art, and nature.
An important and fascinating part of the evening will be the lecture “Russian Music: Pages of History” by Mikhail Bryzgalov — General Director of the Russian National Museum of Music, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, President of the Association of Musical Museums and Collectors, member of the Council for Culture under the President of the Russian Federation, and of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
He will discuss key stages in the development of Russian music — from the mid-19th century to the present, outstanding composers, and musical phenomena that have shaped Russia’s cultural identity.
Following the lecture, there will be a vernissage of the exhibition by the Russian National Museum of Music, dedicated to musical instruments of the peoples of Russia. Mikhail Bryzgalov will comment on the exhibits and share their history and significance in the country’s musical culture.
A highlight of the evening will be a concert by teachers and musicians from the Saratov State Conservatory named after L. V. Sobinov. The program will immerse the audience in the multifaceted world of Russian music — from majestic classical works to touching folk melodies and beloved popular songs.
The audience will enjoy vibrant live performances, virtuosic execution, and an atmosphere of genuine unity through music that connects generations and cultures.
The concert will feature:
Vyacheslav Bondarenko (accordion) — Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Cooperation at the Saratov Conservatory, Professor, laureate of national and international competitions;
Dmitry Boyko (balalaika) — Professor at the Saratov Conservatory, Honored Artist of the Samara Region, laureate of national and international competitions;
