Anniversary educational action
On November 16th, the Russian House in Brussels invites everyone to join the Russian Geographical Society’s international educational event, the “Geographical Dictation.” This initiative has been organized annually by the Russian Geographical Society since 2015 at the request of the Chairman of the Society’s Board of Trustees, President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
The main goal of the event is not to evaluate geographical literacy but to foster education, popularize geographical knowledge, and stimulate interest in science and national heritage. Since its inception, over 3.6 million people have participated in the Geographical Dictation. In 2017, the event became an international initiative, and as of today, 129 countries have joined the project.
