“Russian Ballet. Anna Pavlova and Maya Plisetskaya”
16.01–05.03
Vernissage — 15.01
From January 16, the Russian House in Brussels hosts an international art exhibition from the Art Seasons series, with the leading themes “Christmas Fairy Tale in Europe” and “Russian Ballet.”
In halls filled with light, creativity, and the anticipation of encounters, destinies, countries, and artistic traditions intertwine. The art exhibition of compatriots “Art Seasons” is a significant cultural event in which personal experience and national memory take on a visible form. It is a space of dialogue and recognition, where art becomes a witness of time and inner fidelity to one’s roots. The exhibition has rightfully become truly popular — deep, sincere, born of a genuine need to create and to share.
The exhibition brings together a wide range of artistic directions and techniques. Here unfolds the quiet poetry of rural landscapes in painting and graphics, as well as vibrant collage art that assembles a multilayered picture of the world. Batik appears as the breath of color on fabric; acrylic and oil as the pulse of time — from subtle lyricism to impeccable hyperrealism. The cosmos reveals itself in painterly images — mysterious, captivating, like glances into infinity.
A special, solemn resonance is carried by paintings dedicated to ballet — the lofty art of harmony, discipline, and inspiration. On the canvases are the majestic beauty of movement, the tension of the moment before a leap, the shimmer of the stage and the breath of the audience. Line and color convey the nobility of gesture and the spirituality of the body, transforming dance into a visual hymn to beauty and labor.
Graphics, photography, and light art reveal subtle facets of perceiving reality. Cross-stitch embroidery, ceramics, crochet, soft toys, and contemporary textile art embody the continuity of traditions, the warmth of human hands, and the depth of artistic intent.
The exhibition participants are our compatriots originating from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Georgia, Finland, and other countries. Their perspectives differ, their artistic languages are unique, yet they are united by one thing: love for Russia and the desire to express their inner world through creativity, transforming personal experience into shared cultural heritage.
We will be delighted to welcome you to the exhibition vernissage on January 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
