On December 18, the Russian House in Brussels invites all jazz lovers to a unique musical evening. The stage will feature the world-renowned jazz pianist Daniil Kramer, a recognized maestro whose interpretations captivate audiences worldwide.
A special highlight of the concert is the participation of the talented double bassist Daria Chernakova (Sokolova), a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, whose virtuosity and original style have earned international acclaim.

Daniel Kramer
Soviet and Russian jazz pianist, pedagogue, composer and producer,
known both for his regular and mass performances
and his independently developed scheme of touring subscriptions
of jazz music in philharmonic halls in Russia.

Kramer was initially trained as a classical pianist at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow with E. Y Liberman, Heinrich Neuhaus’ successor, until 1983, when he became increasingly interested in jazz following a concert by Leonid Chizhik. In 1982 he took part in a competition for jazz improvisers in Vilnius and won first prize.
From 1983 he taught at the Gnessin Academy, but also worked as a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1984, he has increasingly performed as a jazz musician at all Soviet festivals, and since 1988 also in other European countries, as well as in the United States and China.
He has performed at the Munich Piano Summer, the Finnish Baltic Jazz and the Australian Manly Jazz Festival, among others. He performed with Didier Lockwood at the Rheingau Music Festival.
Kramer has also appeared in crossover concerts with symphony orchestras and classical string quartets. He has also toured with the singer Philipp Weiss. In his solo concerts, he mixes different genres of jazz from traditional to modern jazz.
Daria Chernakova
is a young and talented performer with impeccable musical taste.
A participant of the Lionel Hampton Festival at the famous Jazz Alley jazz club in Seattle,
she has trained under the Open World programme in Moskow, Idaho, USA.
Daria is a laureate of All-Russian and International competitions.
Participant in the Big Jazz television project on the Kultura TV channel.
After the concert, there will be a vernissage of the exhibition of compatriots “Art Kaleidoscope,” dedicated to the 260th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg).
