“I answer pain with screams and tears, meanness with indignation, disgust with repulsion. In my opinion, this is what life is all about” (“Ward No. 6” by A.P. Chekhov)

Dear friends, in January of this year, we marked the 165th anniversary of the birth of the great and incomparable Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Over the years of his creative work, which began right after his graduation from the gymnasium and lasted until his death, Chekhov wrote five hundred different works: short humorous stories, feuilletons, serious novellas, and of course, plays. Chekhov’s name has entered the golden treasury of world classical literature.

Our next literary salon is dedicated to the shorter forms of Chekhov’s creativity, i.e., his short stories, using the universally known “Ward No. 6” as an example.

The language of the event will be Russian.
Registration is mandatory.
