Due to popular demand, we are pleased to offer a recording of the virtual tour from March 4, 2025.

In 2025, the Russian House in Brussels launched a unique cultural project — “Hermitage Evenings”, giving art lovers around the world the opportunity to virtually visit the exhibitions of one of the largest museums on the planet — the State Hermitage Museum. The events are held in Russian with simultaneous translation into French.

On March 4, 2025, the first session of the series took place on the virtual platform of the Russian House in Brussels. Its theme was “The Imperial Hermitage”. We are pleased to present the video recording.

Participants followed the historical route of foreign diplomats of the 18th and 19th centuries — from the famous Ambassadors’ Staircase to the Grand Throne Hall. Viewers learned about the museum’s history, the formation of its collections, and could explore the splendid state rooms in detail.

The audience was welcomed by a video message from Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum.

The tour was led by Elena Nazaryan, a staff member of the Hermitage’s Educational Department, who answered viewers’ questions after the presentation.

Upcoming events in the “Hermitage Evenings” series will focus both on the museum’s permanent collection and its temporary exhibitions. The State Hermitage is rightly considered an encyclopedic museum of world art.

Join our online tours — you will have the opportunity to ask questions and share your impressions in the chat.

The next event in the series — “Journey through the Grand Hermitage” — will take place on August 26 at 18:00 CET.

The tour will be conducted by Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum — a distinguished scholar, expert in art history, and guardian of the traditions of one of the world’s greatest museums.
