On December 23, the final Hermitage Evening of the year, “The Raphael Line at the Hermitage,” will take place on the virtual platform of the Russian House in Brussels.

Language: Russian/French

Guests will have a unique opportunity to join a one-hour walk aimed at discovering the “traces” of the great Raphael Sanzio in European art.

The Hermitage houses two paintings by the High Renaissance master — and the walk will begin precisely in the Raphael Room. Together with the research associates of the Department of Western European Fine Art, Zoya Kuptsova and Vasily Uspensky, participants of the Hermitage Evening will pass through the most beautiful halls of the New Hermitage, and the walk will conclude in the Raphael Loggias, built after the model of the famous Vatican gallery.

Vasily Uspensky, curator of Italian prints at the Hermitage and organizer of numerous exhibitions, will join the event and answer viewers’ questions.

In 2026, the State Hermitage Museum will continue to inspire and amaze its visitors by unveiling its unique exhibitions.
