Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War

On the eve of the great Victory Day, People’s Artist of Russia Oleg Pogudin and his Romance Theatre present the musical and poetic performance “The spring is coming again to the world…”.

This evening will be a heartfelt tribute to the memory of a generation whose youth fell upon the “fateful forties.” The program will feature poems and songs born in the harsh years of war — sincere, courageous, filled with the pain of loss and a bright hope.

Oleg Pogudin is an outstanding performer of chamber music, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, and laureate of prestigious state and artistic awards. His repertoire includes more than 500 works: classical and urban romances, folk songs, wartime ballads, and old military marches.

Continuing the traditions of high performance culture, the artist combines stage expressiveness with academic depth. A student of Galina Vishnevskaya, he preserves and develops the finest traditions of the Russian musical stage, giving dozens of concerts annually in Russia and abroad.
