Dear friends!
Soon, the most magical and beloved holiday — New Year — will arrive! And that means it’s time to give and receive gifts! The most precious gifts, of course, are those made with your own hands and from the heart.
Do you know where Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) lives? His house is in the town of Veliky Ustyug, in the north of Russia, in a magical forest full of fairy tales. Every year, Ded Moroz harnesses his white horses and sets off to travel the world: to visit children and give gifts. And every year, he stops in some country: to show himself, to chat, and to play games.
This year, we have a big secret to share: he is coming to Belgium! He brings gifts for you. You should thank Ded Moroz and give him a gift in return: draw a picture, make a craft, tell a poem, sing a song, dance, or simply write a letter to congratulate him on the holiday.
Will you join the New Year gift kaleidoscope? Read on, and don’t say you didn’t know how to participate! To participate, you need to:
- Draw a picture or make a craft showing Ded Moroz, Snegurotchka (Snow Maiden), a New Year tree, gifts, or magical winter scenes.
- Write an open letter to Ded Moroz, telling about your dreams and wishes for the New Year.
- Record a short video message for Ded Moroz and Snegurotchka.
- Ask for help from your dad or mom:
- Take a photo of your drawing, craft, or your room decorated for the New Year.
- Record a video of your audio message to Ded Moroz and Snegurotchka. It can be a song, a dance, or simply a New Year’s greeting.
- Write a letter to Ded Moroz.
Send your photo/video to our address biblio@rushouse.be by 08/12/2024, or send it by mail to: 21, St. Meridien, 1210, Brussels, or via email. Don’t forget to include your name and age!
Everything we receive will be published on the pages of our Russian House and sent to Ded Moroz and Snegurotchka.
🎁 Pleasant surprises await!
Each participant who sends their drawing, letter, or video will receive a personal greeting from Ded Moroz!
Ded Moroz and Snegurotchka are waiting for your work!
