External stands of the Russian House in Brussels – Europe

The Russian House in Brussels presents twenty-four works of the finalists of the VII photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society “The Most Beautiful Country” at the exhibition of the same name.

The Russian Geographical Society annually holds a large-scale competition “The Most Beautiful Country”, in which only original and unusual photographs dedicated to the beauty of Russia are selected.

The subjects of the works are very diverse: views of Russian cities, photos of rare animals, sea depths, photo portraits of representatives of the indigenous peoples of Russia.

Meet the sunrise over the Eastern Sayans and see the boundless expanses of Southern Siberia. Fly over the seething abyss of a reservoir in the Sverdlovsk region. The lenses of the participants of the photo contest of the Russian Geographical Society paint a portrait of a large country that still remains the most unexplored in the world.

According to the Russian Geographical Society, in total in 2021, more than 8.6 thousand authors became participants in the competition, who sent about 66 thousand photographs. Representatives of Italy, Germany, Ukraine, China and other countries sent their photos of Russian nature to the organizing committee. The most popular categories were “Landscape”, “Shot on a Smartphone”, “Water Magic” and “Wild Animals”.
