On May 13, on the occasion of the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture — a holiday celebrated annually on May 24 in honor of Saints Cyril and Methodius, creators of the Slavic alphabet — the Russian House in Brussels and the Gnessin Modern Choiral  “Altro coro” present a special concert program entitled “Slavic Heritage.” This day symbolizes the richness and unity of Slavic spiritual tradition, and the connection between language, music, and cultural memory passed down through generations.

In this concert, tradition and modernity merge into a unified artistic space: folk intonation becomes the foundation for new musical images, while choral sound serves as a vehicle for deep emotional and spiritual expression.

The Modern Choir “Altro coro” is a student ensemble of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and a laureate of nine international competitions. Its Artistic Director, Alexander Ryzhinsky, is Rector of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, laureate of the Russian Federation Government Prize, Doctor of Arts, and Professor.
