Dear young lovers of Russian classical and contemporary literature!
The International Young Readers Competition “Live Classics” invites you and your friends to take part!
If you are 10–17 years old, live abroad, love reading books in Russian, and dream of performing on stage, then:
- Visit “Live Classics”
- Log in to your personal account if you already have one. If this is your first time participating, please register.
- Choose a literary work that you would like to perform on stage.
Requirements for the chosen text:
- Prose only! This may be Russian classical literature or works by contemporary authors;
- If the work is long, choose an excerpt;
- Learn the text by heart;
- Practice in front of your family or friends, or simply record yourself on video. Do you like how you sound? Then you’re ready for the stage! This excerpt will stay with you from the first stage of the competition to the final one!

- Remember: you must complete your registration by January 25, 2026. Don’t forget about time zone differences and don’t leave it until the last two hours!
- Join a large-scale international movement of literature and spoken-word enthusiasts. Participants of your age from 80 countries around the world take part in the competition!
