Dear friends, do you remember that on May 17, a concert took place at our Russian House, prepared by both parents and children? In memory of this event, here are a few impressions from the participants.

Victory Day has always been a very important holiday for our family because our grandparents, through an unthinkable act of heroism, gave us life. It is so important to honor their memory and pass it on to future generations. That’s why the idea of a family celebration dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory immediately inspired and delighted me. The beginning is always hard, but the people working on this unique project put their entire hearts into it — all their love for their loved ones. That warmth, that shared “joy with tears in our eyes,” touched the heart and united both participants and audience!
My five-year-old son not only managed to recite a poem about his great-grandfather, but also learned about the stories of other children’s families, discovered new poems and songs about the war, and truly absorbed the spirit and living history of this celebration.
Our family is deeply grateful to the Russian House in Brussels for the opportunity to organize such a meaningful event for many people!

“No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten!”
On this holiday, it feels like you are with us,
In every line of the story, the poem.
In dance and song, we remember you,
This memory lives forever in our hearts!
This bond does not break with time,
Even great-grandchildren honor your deeds.
Love burns brightly with your names,
Like candles glowing on the stage!
And the soul, filling with tears,
Gives life again to loved ones,
Tightly embracing the past,
We cherish it as a great treasure!

Thank you so much, the text is very heartfelt and captures our emotions so precisely! It was truly a wonderful experience. To be honest, there are very few places left here where a Russian person who loves their homeland can spend time warmly with fellow countrymen. At the Russian House and the concert on Saturday, I truly felt like I was at home.
Thanks again to everyone! We’ve formed a great team and can organize more concerts when possible.
