An engaging quiz dedicated to the traditions of the peoples of Russia took place at the Russian House. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, bringing together participants of different ages and interests.
Four teams of five people took part in the game. The first team was formed by the Parents’ Committee of the Russian House. For those who may not know: many guests have repeatedly attended events organized in the spirit of amateur artistic performance, where children and parents perform together — singing, dancing, and taking part in theatrical productions. It was from such active, creative, and caring parents that the team was formed.
The second team represented an organization of compatriots. Its members also demonstrated a high level of engagement and interest in cultural traditions. The other two teams were mixed — bringing together participants with different backgrounds but a shared desire to test their knowledge and spend time productively.

The quiz tasks were varied and allowed participants to demonstrate both their knowledge and teamwork. Some tasks involved folk riddles. For example, participants were asked to solve a Yakut riddle: “To which stone does dirt not stick?” Other tasks were practical and creative, related to crafts and manufacturing.
A particularly interesting task involved matching pairs of words. Participants had to connect words reflecting the traditions, everyday life, and culture of various peoples of Russia, which became not only a test of knowledge but also an opportunity to learn something new.
The quiz was lively and dynamic, giving all participants bright emotions, new knowledge, and a sense of unity. Such events once again prove that interest in culture and traditions remains an important part of social life.
And now it’s your turn! Match the words from the left column with the correct definitions from the right.
