On September 12th, in the cozy atmosphere of the enfilade hall, a quilting and textile art workshop took place, gathering all who wished to learn how to create patchwork masterpieces. This event was aimed not only at developing sewing skills but also at creative self-expression through fabric applique creation.

Everything contributed to a good mood: the cozy working atmosphere, the unhurried, detailed explanations from Natalia Maraeva (the instructor), and the enthusiasm of the participants. Natalia, with her kind smile, like an experienced master, helped, supported, and guided, in other words, she shared her expertise with her students.

The beginner craftswomen chose a stencil, fabric, and began creating. The most popular choice was cats. First, the details were cut out of paper, the outlines were transferred to fabric. The fabric pieces were glued to interfacing and only then transferred to the base.

Not everyone who came was familiar with the technique of threading a needle. The youngest craftswoman was only 7 years old. She worked together with her mother, who became just as engrossed in the process as her daughter.

The bright hall with high windows and classic curtains created a warm and cozy atmosphere. Participants sat at tables, and unique works by Natalia and her patchwork colleague were displayed on easels in front of them. One piece depicted an old building with towers, another a church with golden domes against a natural background, and the third, waves of geometric shapes.

The workshop turned out to be not only fruitful but also very interesting for everyone without exception. Some mastered new quilting techniques, others began working on their first textile project, and some came for inspiration for future creativity. Natalia gave attention to everyone, helping and supporting even in the most challenging aspects of working with fabric.
