Levels of Russian Language

At the Beginner level (A1), you’re learning the basics of Russian pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. You can introduce yourself, exchange simple greetings, and ask and answer basic questions about familiar topics like your name, nationality, and hobbies.

At the Elementary level (A2), you will be able to perceive simple factual information and instructions, to provide and request simple personal information, as well as facts related to the domestic sphere. The vocabulary of this module is up to 1300 units.

At the Intermediate level (B1), you have a solid grasp of Russian grammar and can construct more complex sentences. You’re expanding your vocabulary, learning new words and phrases to express yourself in a variety of situations. In conversations, you’re able to discuss a wider range of topics with increasing fluency. You can express your opinions, share experiences, and participate in discussions on familiar subjects.

The Intermediate+ level (B2), aka the Independent,  is an official requirement to become an employee in a Russian company (level certified by the TRKI-2 exam) or an university student with the vocabulary of 5000-6000 words. You’ll be able to speak Russian language fluently. Communicate in Russian in all daily life situations and in a variety of work situations.

At this level, you are able to engage in complex conversations, express nuanced ideas, and comprehend a wide range of written texts. Your proficiency allows you to communicate naturally, adapt to different contexts, and appreciate the richness of Russian culture and language.

The C1 level allows you the professional activities in Russian as a specialist-philologist, translator/interpreter, editor, journalist, diplomat; conduct professional activities in a Russian-speaking team (level certified by the TRKI-3 exam).

Studying Russian individually with a teacher provides personalized attention and tailored lessons, ensuring rapid progress and a deep understanding of the language. Additionally, one-on-one sessions allow for flexible scheduling and the opportunity to focus on specific areas of interest or difficulty.
