Russian language courses at the Russian House in Brussels place special emphasis not only on learning the language but also on discovering Russian culture. Throughout the year, various events are organized to help participants better understand Russian traditions and cultural особенностей.
One such event in April was an Easter workshop.
The event attracted great interest, especially among beginner-level (A1) students. Despite this, the entire session was conducted in Russian: the course instructors successfully adapted the material so that even beginners could understand it.
During the workshop, participants learned about Easter traditions in Russia, discussed cultural features and the symbolism of the holiday. Special attention was given to one of the main Russian Easter traditions — decorating and dyeing eggs.
After the theoretical part, guests took part in a creative activity, where they tried eco-friendly ways of decorating Easter eggs. This format allowed them not only to deepen their cultural knowledge but also to apply their newly acquired language skills in real communication.
The workshop became a great opportunity for participants not only to expand their vocabulary but also to better understand Russian traditions through practical experience. Participants actively communicated with each other and with the teachers, asked questions, and shared their impressions, making the event even more lively, engaging, and beneficial for learners of Russian.
