Dear friends, at the end of March, the finalists of the national stage of the international reading contest “Live Classics” performed on the stage of our Russian House!

Reaching the final is always exciting and honorable. Therefore, it was heartwarming to see not only those who have participated in the contest multiple times but also the debutants. The national stage of the contest is a success for every participant!
Everyone who participated has already taken a huge step forward: they overcame their nerves, demonstrated their abilities, and revealed their creative potential.
To support the participants, young people from Austria came to Belgium. They not only performed their pieces but also showed a dance.

The contest is not just about awards, but also valuable experience, new knowledge, acquaintances, and the opportunity to test oneself. Every participant did a lot of work, demonstrated a desire for growth, and made a contribution to their future.
The winners of the national stage in Belgium:
Darina Bonér – winner in the “Out of Competition: Children under 10” category.
The jury unanimously awarded first place to Andrey Shevchenko.
Varvara Desyatkina took second place, and Daria Dashkevich was third.
As the judges said, it was very, very difficult to choose the best from the best.

But the most important thing is not just the awards, but the journey that each participant went through. We congratulate everyone who took the risk, tried, and grew thanks to this contest! May this experience inspire you for new achievements!
Come to our library, introduce children to the classics, and prepare for the next contest!
