The Resistance Movement in Belgium During World War II: Heroes, Memory, History

During World War II, thousands of people of Russian origin living abroad fought side by side with the peoples of Europe against fascism. They took part in the Resistance movements in France, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Italy, and other countries, risking their lives for freedom and human dignity.

This project is dedicated to these heroes — to those whose names are preserved by history, and to those whose memory lives on in family stories, letters, and archives. It also honors Russian anti-fascists who perished in Nazi camps and prisons, as well as Soviet POWs who joined the European Resistance.
