On June 5, the Russian House in Brussels hosted the festive evening “Russian Language Brings People Together”, dedicated to Russian Language Day.

During the event, the results of the Russian language courses for the 2025–2026 academic year were presented. Students and teachers reflected on the most memorable moments of the year, discussed achievements, and shared plans for the future. Guests were also introduced to the Russian language course program for the upcoming academic year.

A special highlight of the evening was a concert of Russian classical music performed by Italian pianist Bruno Francesco Leone.

Bruno Francesco Leone is a laureate and winner of more than 30 national and international music competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Saint Petersburg, the Grand Prize Virtuoso in Vienna, the “G. Campochiaro” Prize in Catania, the “San Francesco di Paola” Prize in Paola, the “Benedetto Albanese” Prize in Palermo, the Rocky Mountain International Music Competition in Toronto, and the Royal Sound Music Competition in Montreal.

The pianist performed works by outstanding Russian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries:

• Sergei Rachmaninoff — Georgian Song, Op. 4 No. 4;
• Sergei Rachmaninoff — Vocalise, Op. 34 No. 14;
• Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky — The Seasons (April, June, September and October);
• Mily Balakirev — Scherzo No. 1;
• Mikhail Glinka / Mily Balakirev — The Lark.

The warm atmosphere of the evening, united by a shared appreciation for the Russian language and Russian culture, left guests with lasting impressions and provided a wonderful conclusion to the academic year.
