The Russian House in Brussels hosted a screening of the legendary film The Fate of a Man, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. This masterpiece of Soviet cinema, created by Sergei Bondarchuk based on a story by Mikhail Sholokhov, once again reminded the audience of the tragedy of war and the indomitable strength of the human spirit.
The story of Andrei Sokolov, who survived captivity, the loss of his family, and all the horrors of war while preserving his compassion and faith in life, deeply moved those present. The film evoked a storm of emotions, and its powerful artistic language and sincerity left no one indifferent.
After the screening, a discussion took place, during which guests shared their impressions of the film and reflected on eternal values—courage, resilience, and humanity. It is important that such films continue to serve as a reminder of the price of peace and the heroism of those who defended it.
The Russian House in Brussels thanks everyone who joined this memorable event. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming screenings dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory!
