The Year of Science in Russia This is the legendary research vessel Vityaz moored at the quay of the Museum of the World Ocean. Built in Germany for cargo transportation and originally named Mars, the Vityaz is of interesting and eventful history with the most notable events in the period from 1949 to 1979.
