The annual international historical campaign “Victory Dictation” was held at two venues of the Russian House, bringing together participants of different ages and professions. Once again, the event became an important occasion dedicated to preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, the heroism of the people, and the events of the war years.
This year, 42 people took part in the campaign. Among the participants were schoolchildren, students, parents, representatives of the older generation, and everyone interested in history and eager to test their knowledge. It was especially symbolic that the participants’ ages varied greatly: the youngest participant was only 10 years old, while the oldest was 60. This once again confirmed that the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War unites generations and remains an important part of our shared historical culture.

This year, the participants’ results were significantly better compared to previous years. Many demonstrated a high level of preparation, attentiveness, and deep knowledge of history. Three participants stood out in particular, each scoring 22 points — the highest result of this year’s campaign. The winners and the most active participants will be awarded this Saturday, May 16, during a ceremonial event.
Some of the questions turned out to be especially challenging and made participants think seriously. However, such tasks not only test knowledge but also inspire further interest in studying history.
Members of the Literary Salon, a monthly камерный cultural event held at the Russian House, answered without much difficulty questions dedicated to the Soviet Tatar poet and Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil and the Belgian patriot André Timmermans.
