On 4 July, the Russian House in Brussels hosted a ceremonial presentation of the public medal “For Love and Fidelity”, dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
The celebration brought guests together around the fundamental values of family life—love, devotion, mutual respect, and strong family bonds. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “For Love and Fidelity” medal, a public award established in 2008 by the Organizing Committee for the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity in the Russian Federation at the initiative of Svetlana Medvedeva.
A particularly moving moment of the ceremony was the tribute paid to a married couple celebrating 64 years of marriage. Their story became a true symbol of devotion, mutual support, and sincere love that has stood the test of time. Warm words of gratitude and congratulations were addressed to the couple, who were greeted with prolonged applause by the guests.
During the ceremony, the couple shared their secrets to a happy marriage and offered words of encouragement to young families and to those just beginning their life together. They emphasized that lasting love is built on mutual respect, trust, the ability to listen to and support one another, and a willingness to face life’s challenges together. Their heartfelt message became one of the most touching moments of the evening and resonated deeply with those in attendance.
The festive evening concluded with the “Strings of the Russian Soul” singer-songwriter festival.
The ceremony once again highlighted the importance of preserving family traditions, mutual respect, and love, which remain the foundation of strong families and society as a whole.
