The most valuable thing we can do now is to preserve the memory of those who selflessly defended their homeland and gave us, their descendants, the right to life...On the eve of May 9, memorial ceremonies were held at the graves and monuments of soldiers in Belgium: in the communes of Brussels Ever and Ixelles, the cities of Genk, Lanklaar, etc.The St. George Ribbon events were held - a symbol of memory and heroism, which has become an inseparable part of the culture and traditions of Russia, the Candle of Memory - an international event whose participants annually light candles on memorable days in honor of 27 million who died in the Great Patriotic War. More than a hundred candles were lit in our hall during the festive concert on May 10th. And the red carnations that you see in the photographs symbolize the resilience, endurance and courage of the heroes!The «Garden of Memory» ... for the first time in Belgium, it was founded in 2021 next to the Trois-Ponts memorial cemetery, where the burial place of the Russian partisan Ivan Kulkov is located. Planted two bushes of white terry lilac, as a symbol of Victory, are blooming to this day! It was with lilac branches in their hands that in May 1945 they met Soviet soldiers-liberators returning home!We continue to honor this tradition and already this year 2023, on May 11, three more flowering bushes were planted on the territory of the embassy, the variety of which (symbolically for us) was bred in Russia!Well, we will tell you about how touching and sincere the Musical and Poetry Evening “Living Memory of Past Years” was in the next post! Наш вклад в дело Бессмертного полка - рассказать о тех, кто нам известен!Отдадим дать памяти и уважения и выходцам из среды «белой» эмиграции, вставшим на путь борьбы с нацизмом – прежде всего «бельгийской Жанне д’Арк» Марине Шафровой, казненной по личному распоряжению Гитлера. Before the scientific and technological achievements of the 20th century, the possibility of flying into space was only a picture from science fiction films, but the development of the space industry and the huge contribution of Soviet scientists helped make this a reality.62 years ago, on April 12, 1961, Soviet pilot-cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin opened a new page in the history of mankind by flying into space on the Vostok satellite. Kutkhiny Baty were formed several thousand years ago by volcanic eruptions. It is home to foxes, bobcats, snow rams, wolves, and others. Bears are also found in the vicinity. In the waters of the river Ozernaya and in the KurilLake, from which it flows out, are found many species of fish - pink salmon,chum salmon, and others.According to the legend, the Kutkhiny Baty are large boats set up for dryingand forgotten by the raven Kutkh. And the native people of Kamchatka, theItelmens, called their long boats bats. Hence the name of the sight camefrom here.The rocks are very fragile.
