“Embassy of Musical Mastery”

To the 180th anniversary of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, to the 185th anniversary of M. Musorgsky

Audience 6+

On 19 March the Russian House in Brussels and the St Petersburg House of Music invite you to a chamber concert of classical music from the series “Embassy of Mastery” with the participation of young and talented Russian musicians, laureates of numerous international competitions:

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov is a world-famous composer, the creator of a school of composition that is still in demand today, and a conservatory professor without a conservatory education. He is called the most “folk” author, who drew inspiration from Russian nature, the tunes of his native land, and the subjects of bylinas, legends and fairy tales.

Modest Mussorgsky is the most popular Russian composer. He created under the impression of domestic folklore and historical traditions, while flatly refusing to follow the canons of Western music. His works are a unique national flavour, which vividly expresses the uniqueness and originality of the Russian man, the power of his character and the strength of his soul.
