New project 💥💥💥

“Literary salon-cafe” in Russian house Brussels - Europe 📚 with writer Tatiana Makarova🔝

The first meeting 🔜🔜🔜23/03 - 10:30

Literary salons take their origins in the past, when people gathered in a certain circle to discuss a fashion author, to talk about trends and trends in literature, to meet each other and celebrities, to eat, to taste champagne… Anyway, have a good time.

The idea of creating our literary salon-cafe: to gather not just literary lovers, but to sit for a cup of tea with a cake, discussing your favorite book heroes, authors, and maybe to present your creativity.

Why not? Who knows what talents lie within us.

✅ The first meeting will be dedicated to knowledge: who we are, what books we read, what authors we enjoy

✅ We shall choose together the name of the café-salon.

✅ Let’s agree on what we’re going to read for the next session.

Registration is on our website rushouse.be

________

Today, International Women's Day is associated wit Today, International Women's Day is associated with approaching warmth and lightness🌷☀️

However, initially the essence of the holiday was completely different.

At first, March 8 was the Day of Solidarity of Working Women. Women workers took to the marches to achieve labor equality with men, the right to vote in elections, and so on 📣

In the Soviet Union, the celebration turned from a protest into a celebration, and slogans glorified the image of a Soviet woman - a hard worker, mother, wife. The USSR for a long time remained the only European country where March 8 was considered an official public holiday.

 History shows that women can be real fighterss 💪Their pragmatism, rationality and determination can be envied.

Today we wish all of you health, interesting projects and energy for their implementation. And let there be as few situations in which you have to show your heroic qualities as possible.

Happy International Women's Day!
💦Kucherlinskoye is one of the most picturesque 💦Kucherlinskoye is one of the most picturesque lakes in the Altai. The name is based on the local word "kuchurlu", which means solonchak (a type of soil with high salt content).

The water in the lake has an unusual turquoise color, and it is surrounded by steep rocky cliffs. There are Upper, Lower and Big Kucherla Lakes. The Big lake is 5 km long. The water body has a legend - its master is the spirit Kol-Eezi, who lives in the water
and loves solitude. To chase away travelers, the spirit scares them with a bull's cry.

In addition, there are many species of underwater inhabitants.The lakes are inhabited
by rainbow trout, grayling (is a sign of clean water), taimen and other fish species. And near the lakes you can meet walking horses.

🏕Interestingly, to get to the lake is difficult - most of the way you have to climb uphill. Usually the hike takes from 2 to 3 days.

🥞Pancake week 🥞 🎶 We will celebrate the 🥞Pancake week 🥞

 🎶 We will celebrate the end of winter with you soon - 21/04, we will announce later 🎶

 ❄️🌷 Maslenitsa holiday is the borderline between winter and spring. It lasts every calendar week, and then comes to Lent, which will last until April 15th. From this, more fun and with more enthusiasm for this seven-day segment🎂

  And why is “Maslenitsa”❓ The name comes from butter, which, like other dairy products, will be banned after the end of the week. Exactly at the end of Forgiveness Sunday, she began the seven-week Great Lent, and the seven days before it received the title Maslenitsa. However, it wasn’t always like that. The meetings of the holidays were called Komoyeditsa, and the beginning of this compound word came from the ancient Slavs of the bear.

 “Kom”, that is, a bear, woke up at this time, and people wanted to appease the beast that had departed from its winter sleep. After all, he is the owner of honey, and for the ancient Russians this delicacy is a source of health and strength. Dedicated to the holiday, it was called Komoyeditsa.

  An interesting fact: when they say that the first pancake is lumpy, then this is wrong. The first round and magnificent symbol of Maslenitsa was served by «komAm», that is, an excuse for bears to appease them.

  Well, was your first pancake lumpy?😀

😋 International Dessert Day Let’s talk about 😋 International Dessert Day

Let’s talk about those Russian sweets that are included in the world dessert menu 🍰

❓Tula gingerbread is so famous that a museum was opened in his honor. Dessert is a piece of spicy cake, decorated with an ornament or pattern, filled with jam or condensed milk. Real Tula gingerbread is made using wooden printed boards, the material for which must be “rested” for 5 to 20 years.

❓ 🐦 Bird's milk is a combination of delicate soufflé and chocolate. In the USSR, the idea of dessert was brought from Czechoslovakia. The confectioners were tasked with making candy from a pattern, but without a recipe. And the Soviet masters did it.

However, it was not easy to make a cake - this recipe did not work on a large volume. In 1978, the confectioners nevertheless succeeded, and the first patent for cakes in the USSR was issued to Bird's Milk.

❓🍯"Imperial cake" - that's what the people call honey cake. The wife of Alexander I did not tolerate honey. However, the new chef did not know the rules and prepared a dessert that resembled soft caramel. When Elizaveta Alekseevna wanted to know what the cake was made of, the chef admitted that honey was the basis of his dessert. Since then, honey cake has become a favorite dessert of the imperial family and was present at every royal feast.

❓What are your favorite 🍰

In the Yelizovsky District of the Kamchatka Territ In the Yelizovsky District of the Kamchatka Territory there is a unique natural monument - Kutkhiny Baty⛰

These are beige rocks, resembling boats, stuck vertically in the ground. Kutkhiny Baty were formed several thousand years ago by volcanic eruptions.

It is home to foxes, bobcats, snow rams, wolves, and others. Bears are also found in the vicinity. In the waters of the river Ozernaya and in the Kuril
Lake, from which it flows out, are found many species of fish - pink salmon,
chum salmon, and others.

According to the legend, the Kutkhiny Baty are large boats set up for drying
and forgotten by the raven Kutkh. And the native people of Kamchatka, the
Itelmens, called their long boats bats. Hence the name of the sight came
from here.

The rocks are very fragile. If you touch them, they begin to crumble with
small stones. Loud noises also harm these rocks. The acoustics here are
great, and some tourists start singing or shouting, enjoying how clear their
voice sounds. But these actions damage and destroy the Kutkhiny Baty.

Think you heard about Russian Santa - Ded Moroz 🎅🏼

And what about his granddaughter? ❄️

The Snow Beauty gained wide popularity only in the 19th century after the release of a fairy tale about a doll made of snow, which later came to life.

According to a legend, she lives in the kingdom of Berendeyevo. In fact, there is a village Berendeevka, located in the Yaroslavl province. The related status of Snegurochka and Ded Moroz changed. If Ostrovsky's Snegurochka was the daughter of Ded Moroz, then in the new version she is his granddaughter.

The heroine has her own residence in Kostroma🏠

The hostess always greets guests with a traditional treat - bread and salt After Snegurochka introduces the guests to the assistants - the cat Bayun, the brownie and the brownie.

Terem has a special Ice Room🧊This is a very cold place, where the temperature is constant all year round - minus 15 degrees. Guests are offered Russian fur coats and felt boots. The Ice Room itself is small. Icicles hang from the air conditioner, and the light bulbs on the ceiling are covered in snow. The room is decorated with ice figurines.

One of Moscow's main symbols is the Ostankino TV t One of Moscow's main symbols is the Ostankino TV tower, whose spire can be seen from any part of the capital. Today, on the birthday of the place, we tell you the most interesting facts about it:

- The author of the design of the Ostankino TV tower, the main building of Moscow State University and the monument 'Motherland Calls' is the same person, Nikolai Nikitin;

- The Ostankino TV tower weighs 32 000 tons which is comparable to the weight of 400 000 aircraft or 179 000 whales;

- The height of the building is comparable to the height of a 180-storey house. There are only 45 floors in the Ostankino TV tower itself;

- The lift in Ostankino self-regulates its speed depending on whether the tower is swaying in the wind or not;

- The Ostankino TV tower is struck by lightning 30-40 times a year. For comparison, the chance of a tree being struck by lightning is 0.139%;

- Contrary to public opinion, nothing is filmed in the Ostankino TV tower itself. There are plenty of studios around which allow it.
Nationalities in Russia... About whom will talk to Nationalities in Russia... About whom will talk today? Guess?

The largest groups of Russian Koreans in Russia live in the Far East, in the Rostov region and North Caucasus, as well as in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Koreans settled on the territory of Primorsky Krai long before the appearance of the first Russian settlers. However, the real migration of Koreans to Primorsky Krai began in the second half of the 19th century. The resettlement was driven by lack of land,
famine and natural disasters in Korea.

The traditional cuisine of Koryo-saram is based on the cuisine of the northern regions of Korea. Koreans prefer fish and pork. Almost no animal fat is used. They love hot peppers, garlic and coriander. In their own way, they prepare some dishes of Russian cuisine. In borscht, for example, boiled pabi rice is added.

However, today there are dishes that have no analogues in the cuisine of North and South Korea. For example, carrot-cha. "Korean-style carrots" is a dish popular among the Koryo-saram. The salad appeared during Soviet times as a replacement for kimchi, a traditional Chinese cabbage dish with red pepper.

In traditional Korean cuisine, it is customary to marinate fresh meat or fish with radishes or radishes and vinegar, with the addition of hot spices. But since carrots were more accessible than radishes in the USSR, they gradually replaced the usual vegetable. The main components of this salad are carrots, sugar, salt, vinegar, vegetable oil and red hot pepper. Moreover, Koreans use coarse pepper. #НародыРоссии #корейцыроссии #РусскийДом #Россотрудничество #RussianHouse #Rossotrudnichestvo
