On the 90th anniversary of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin

For Cosmonautics Day

Rossotrudnichestvo traditionally hosts an international humanitarian event called the Star Dictation ‘Let’s Go!’. The first Star Dictation was held on April 12, 2021 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. Space enthusiasts from Russia, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Malaysia, Portugal attended the event, more than 17,000 people from 45 countries.

On the 90th anniversary of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin, the first Earth’s cosmonaut, Rossotrudnichestvo invites once again both Russians and foreigners with an interest in space to test their knowledge.

In 2024, the dictation text was written by Mikhail Kotov, a scientific journalist and a popularizer of cosmonautics, a member of the public council of the Roscosmos State Corporation, the author of the Telegram channel Lift Off Contact, and a development director in the Summer Space School.

On April 12, the Cosmonautics Day, journalist and intellectual Anatoly Wasserman will read the text of the Star Dictation during a special online broadcast at the K. E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics. The event will be streamed on the Star Dictation website and Russian House social media accounts.

The Star Dictation ‘Let’s Go!’ is a project that aims to inform young people worldwide about humanity’s common achievement — human flight into space, which marked the beginning of the Universe exploration. During the Star Dictation, participants from around the world will have the opportunity to learn about previously unknown facts and events from the history of space exploration.

The website offers language versions in English, German, French, Chinese, and Arabic for the participants from different countries. The Mikhail Kotov’s text will also be translated into these languages. So almost anyone from anywhere in the world will be able to participate in this humanitarian event.

The dictation will suggest filling in the gaps in a text about space. Each gap represents an objective historical or scientific fact. The participants are required to register on the website. Upon registration, they will receive a special form to fill out their answers on April 12.
