Orthodox Easter
Youth bishop’s choir of the Brussels-Belgian eparchy
Easter concert “Christ is Risen!” consists of church chants praising the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ not only in Church Slavonic, but also in Greek, Georgian, Arabic, French and many other languages. At the end of the concert, our choir will perform several secular, well-known and beloved songs by all of us.
The choir was founded in 2020, with the blessing of the Archbishop Simon of Brussels and Belgium, and is a collection of young people from various parishes of the Brussels-Belgium diocese. The composition of the choir is international, and every year it becomes more and more. It has singers from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Greece, currently residing in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Netherlands.
The choir’s repertoire consists not only of church and sacred music, but also of Soviet songs.
We invite you to the Russian House on Thursday, April 27 at 19:00 to share this great joy with us.
On April 27, the Russian House in Brussels will host the opening of the exhibition “Sergei Rachmaninov: “I am a Russian composer”” dedicated to the great Russian composer, brilliant pianist and talented conductor.
