His “Master and Margarita” and “Heart of a Dog” are undoubtedly well-known to all. But did you know that the famous comedy by Leonid Gaidai “Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession” is based on Bulgakov’s play “Ivan Vasilievich,” only the time period is shifted from the 1930s to the 1970s?
