The year 2023 celebrates the 150th anniversary of two internationally known friends: the great composer Sergei Rachmaninoff and the famous bass Fedor Chaliapin. Music guides their destinies, their encounters, their successes and their dramas.

Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk, symphony conductor and choirmaster, composer and accompanying pianist, artistic director of opera festivals, who has been working in Europe and Russia for more than 25 years, will share with you his passion for his two artists and their music, will tell you about the life of the musical world that surrounded them at the time, without forgetting that the two artists remain an eternal source of inspiration for the cinema…

Very beautiful musical illustrations will be part of this conference and among them you will hear works interpreted by Réné Larya, baritone – bass of Canadian origin, artist of the opera of La Monnaie in Brussels, accompanied by Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk on the piano.
