On 27 September at 6 PM time, Russian House in Brussels together with the Russian Museum invites you to a virtual tour to the Russian Museum to explore art of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The tour will be conducted by Valentina Gorlova, Head of the Excursion and Lecture Department of the Russian Museum.
The technologies of panoramic photography enable the viewers to explore the museum’s rooms where the paintings by famous Russian artists Andrey Ryabushkin, Konstantin Korovin, Alexander Benois, Leon Bakst, Mikhail Vrubel, Boris Kustodiev, Pavel Kuznetsov, Valentin Serov and others are exhibited. The turn of the 19th – 20th centuries in Russian Art is a period of artist’s searches for new ways of expression, development of Russian art nouveau style and neoclassicism movement, appearance of Avant-Garde trends and activity of large art societies.
The online tour continues the series of meetings organised by the Russian Museum in cooperation with the Russian House in Brussels. Online meetings are dedicated to introducing foreign audiences to the history, collection and expositions of the Russian Museum, which this year celebrates 125 years since its opening. The lecture will be held in Russian with simultaneous translation into French provided by the Russian House in Brussels and the Russian House in Paris.
