On June 29, at 18:00, the presentation of the multimedia project of the Russian National Museum of Music “Music of Heroes” will take place. The project will be presented by the Director General, Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bryzgalov.

“Music of Heroes” is a synthesis of museum and theater, music and literature, photography and cinema. “Music of heroes” is the music of those who worked in the rear, fought on the front line, performed concerts at the front, supporting the morale of soldiers. In these terrible and difficult years, music united the whole country: the newly created works reflected feats, humor, love, homesickness.

The virtual exhibition is accompanied by an audio performance, which turns over the terrible days of the war in front of the audience. Each chapter of the performance is complemented by rich archival material: animated photographs, unique autographs, documents and audio recordings from the museum’s collection, a video chronicle of the war years.

The multimedia project of the Russian National Museum of Music “Music of Heroes” is prepared with the support of Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation  and with  the participation of “Gosfilmofond” of Russia.
