The State Historical and Memorial Museum-Reserve “Battle of Stalingrad”

We suggest visiting the historical and memorial complex “To the Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad” on Mamayev Kurgan, which is part of the Museum-Reserve “Battle of Stalingrad”. During the virtual tour, participants will be able to feel the atmosphere of the fighting of the great battle on the Volga.

Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd is a place that any resident of Russia, and even a good half of humanity, associates with the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

As many as 200 days the battle for Stalingrad took place, of which 135 days was the battle for Mamaev Kurgan. It was here, in the area of “height 102”, as the mound was called on military maps, that the Battle of Stalingrad ended!
