Moving to Rostov Region – A Land of Rich History and Culture!

The region lies in the southern part of the East European Plain and partly in the North Caucasus, covering the Lower Don river basin. The main river is the Don, with tributaries like the Seversky Donets, Sal, and Manych. Key water bodies include Veselovskoye and Proletarskoye Lakes and the Tsimlyansk Reservoir. The administrative center is Rostov-on-Don (over 1 million people). Other major cities are Taganrog, Shakhty, Volgodonsk, Novocherkassk, Bataysk, and Novoshakhtinsk.
