To the 225th Anniversary of the Birth of Alexandre Pushkin

The Russian House in Brussels will host an exclusive premiere of the film “Eugene Onegin,” dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the great Russian poet, playwright, and prose writer Alexandre Pushkin.

At the center of the plot, just like in Pushkin’s novel, is the nobleman Eugene Onegin, who, tired of city life, goes to his ancestral estate in the countryside. The main role in the film is played by Viktor Dobronravov, who has shone for many years as Eugene on the stage of the Vakhtangov Theatre.

The film was shot in 2023 in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Attentive viewers will spot the Singing Bridge, the Sukhanovo Estate, and the Great Gatchina Palace in the film.

The film was released in March 2024.
