To the 150th anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninoff

On April 27, the Russian House in Brussels will host the opening of the exhibition “Sergei Rachmaninov: “I am a Russian composer”” dedicated to the great Russian composer, brilliant pianist and talented conductor.

The exhibition was prepared by the Russian National Museum of Music with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture and is based on materials donated at various times by the composer’s relatives and close friends to the Russian National Museum of Music. The world’s largest music museum has 3.6 thousand pieces of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s personal archive.

The exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the musical master presents rarely exhibited and little-known documents and photographs of the composer, which are designed to highlight the three main creative areas of S. Rachmaninoff: composing music, performing and conducting.

Numerous surviving photographs of the family, teachers and friends of P.I. communication with friends and family.

Most of the exhibits presented at the exhibition are supplemented with interactive QR codes, by which you can listen to recordings of the most famous works by Rachmaninov from the funds of the music museum.
