The event was held in a hybrid face-to-face and online format and aroused great interest in the stated theme. It was about the “secrets”, characteristics and varieties of such “guests from space” as meteorites, bolides, asteroids

During the lecture and discussion, the participants were interested in the questions:
– How is it that Antarctica and the Atacama Desert are a treasure trove of meteorites?
During the lecture and discussion, the participants were interested in the following questions
– How is it that Antarctica and the Atacama Desert are a treasure trove of meteorites?
– Why do scientists and amateurs still search for space rocks?
– How dangerous is it for people to have extraterrestrial matter fall on the Earth’s surface?
– What were the Tunguska and Chelyabinsk meteorites?

The meeting participants learned that many studies of these phenomena have been carried out by the unique meteorite student expedition of the Ural Federal University, led for many years by V.I. Grokhovsky.

Representatives of the International Meteorite Society also took part in the meeting with the Russian scientist.

We look forward to seeing you  at the meetings of the Russian House Brussels Innovation Night project!
