On December 19, the final screening of the season took place at the film club of the Russian House in Brussels. Despite the rainy weather, it did not deter fans of Soviet and Russian cinema from gathering to watch the film “First Love,” based on the eponymous story by Ivan Turgenev. The film was presented to the audience by our wonderful lecturer and cinema expert, Tania Kireeff.
Those present in the hall also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with books released by the French publishing house “Natania.” Its director, Natalya Vladimirovna Zhigunova-Komarova, introduced the guests of the Russian House to bilingual editions in Russian and French: collections of idiomatic expressions, poems, and jokes. A book of translations of texts by Ivan Turgenev was gifted to each of the attendees. The evening concluded with a small cocktail.
The film club of the Russian House in Brussels wishes everyone wonderful New Year holidays!
In the new year, we can expect many interesting and entertaining films.
We look forward to seeing you at our screenings!!!
